Off to save the day, quilt style!

So I have been a bit quite lately, getting my etsy and facebook shop ready and making a few more quilts.
First up is the superheroes quilt. My hisband LOVES!!!!!!! this quilt. I think it brings out his inner kid :) Not only does he love the fabric but he loves the pattern. I think i'll be making a few more with this pattern. The pattern is from elizabeth over at www.ohfransson.com called new wave. She has a free tutorial on her website. I didn't follow the sizing for the tutorial as I wanted the quilt to be a particular size but I used all the other steps in her tutorial. Really easy to follow and super fast to wip up.
I used fabric from my stash and fabric from the superhero from illustration ink! by Robert Kaufman. Because I used big prints some of the panels don't match up in the pattern but I really don't mind that. The binding is an funky blue with white cloud fabric. I have no idea where it is from though I wish I did so I could get more.

The backing is from Painter's Canvas by Laura Gunn for Michael Miller Fabrics in the ocean.

It is perfect for the quilt and shows off the quilting beautifully and looks great with the binding.
